OUR Mobile Occupational Therapy SERVICES
In-Home Occupational Therapy Services
Comprehensive Functional Capacity Assessments (FCA)
We conduct comprehensive Functional Capacity Assessments (FCA) in the client’s home environment.
These assessments allow the occupational therapist to observe daily activities in a natural setting and evaluate functional abilities to support NDIS planning and funding decisions.
Where clinically appropriate, Functional Capacity Assessments may also be completed via telehealth.
Assistive Equipment & Assistive Technology (AT)
We assess, trial, and recommend assistive equipment and assistive technology tailored to the client’s functional needs.
Recommendations may range from low-cost daily living aids to more complex equipment, with consideration given to comfort, safety, and the home environment.
Supporting documentation is provided where required to assist with funding processes.
Capacity Building
Our occupational therapy services support participation and independence in daily activities for individuals with neurological, progressive neurological, emotional, and sensory processing conditions, as well as paediatric clients.
Interventions focus on practical strategies that support functional skills and engagement in everyday routines.
Home Modifications & Environmental Assessment
Our occupational therapists assess the home environment, including layout, accessibility, and safety features such as entryways, staircases, and bathrooms.
Based on individual needs, we recommend tailored solutions that support independence and daily living.
This may include major modifications such as structural changes or ramps, as well as minor modifications such as grab rails or lever handles, ensuring the home remains safe, functional, and suited to the client’s requirements.
Housing and Support Needs Assessments (SIL & SDA)
We complete face-to-face housing and support needs assessments and provide detailed reports to support NDIS planning, including Supported Independent Living (SIL) and Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) assessments where clinically appropriate.
Environmental Assessment
We evaluate your home’s layout, accessibility, and safety features—such as entryways, staircases, and bathrooms—to identify areas that may benefit from modification and support safer living.
Functional Mobility Assessment
Our assessments observe your ability to move safely within your home, including navigating furniture and different surfaces.
We focus on supporting mobility and safety in your living space through individualised recommendations.
Education and Training
We provide education and training to clients and caregivers on safe practices, daily task management, and the effective use of recommended strategies, equipment, and home modifications to support ongoing participation and safety.
